Heavy Truck Body Shop Manager

We are seeking an experienced Heavy Truck Body Shop Manager to lead the daily operations of a busy commercial truck collision and repair facility.
The Body Shop Manager will oversee technicians, estimators, workflow, scheduling, quality control and customer communication while ensuring repairs are completed safely, correctly and on time.
Responsibilities

• Manage daily body shop operations and repair schedules
• Lead, train and support body technicians, painters and support staff
• Review estimates, repair orders and job profitability
• Coordinate parts, labor and outside services
• Communicate repair status with customers, insurance companies and internal departments
• Ensure high standards for safety, workmanship and customer satisfaction
• Monitor productivity, cycle time, quality and department performance
• Assist with hiring, staffing and employee development

Qualifications

• Previous body shop management or supervisory experience
• Commercial truck, heavy-duty vehicle or collision repair experience preferred
• Strong leadership, organizational and customer-service skills
• Experience with estimating, insurance claims and repair documentation
• Ability to manage multiple jobs and changing priorities
• Working knowledge of paint, frame, fabrication and collision-repair processes
