Registered Nurse - Interventional Radiology

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Day shifts, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, with on-call and holiday coverage

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $70.70 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver specialized nursing care during Interventional Radiology procedures
• Prepare, monitor, and recover patients throughout the procedural journey
• Support moderate sedation and ensure patient comfort and safety
• Collaborate with radiologists, technologists, and the interdisciplinary team
• Administer medications and document care accurately in Cerner
• Respond to on-call needs and provide holiday coverage as part of the team
• Educate patients and families with clear, compassionate communication
• Uphold ACLS, BLS, and hospital safety protocols in every interaction

Qualifications

• Active California RN license or compact license
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications
• 2+ years of acute care or Interventional Radiology experience
• Cerner charting experience is a plus
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
• Ability to work day shifts, on-call rotations, and holiday coverage
• Pandemic licensure approved per facility requirements

Education

• Shift: Days
• Call: one full week of call per month (starting 1700 on Monday and ending at 0700 the following Monday morning). Weekday call starts at 1730 each day until 0700 the following morning. Weekend call starts at 0700 on Saturday, and ends at 0700 on the Monday.
